Asus Xonar D2

[Pink Floyd]

I'm looking into purchasing a new sound card and i was wondering if the Asus Xonar is the best sound card out right now? If it isn't could you link to which one is.

Thanks.

I'd go with either the XtremeMusic or the X-Fi Prelude if you game.

I'd go with either the XtremeMusic or the X-Fi Prelude if you game. For music only

My main concern is the music.

OOPS, meant to delete that last part.

Either card I mentioned will do well all around(music, movies & games), with the Prelude being better right out of the box than the XtremeMusic. If gaming isn't a concern, then something like and ESI Juli@.

I did a search for it, and it sounds pretty good. What's the price tag on it, and where could i purchase it?

Any other sound card that's better than the Juli@?

The Asus Xonar and Auzen Prelude are both better than the Juli@.

The Onkyo se-200pci is also a good choice if you plan to use rca interconnects.
