How's it going are these boards still giving people issues, especially with the destroying cpu part? Thanks.
 
I've had one since July of last year with an overclocked and overvolted 6950x i, so issues that I know of.
 
I've never heard of any modern motherboard damaging a CPU. For that matter, I've never heard of it in the last 20 years. What sometimes happens is that a power surge will hit a system and take out the motherboard and CPU together. I've seen this a lot. If you buy a shitty PSU and don't have any kind of quality surge protection via UPS or quality surge protector, you are at risk for this.
