I've got a couple of these and I've never had any problems. I've used the USB port as a print server with DD-WRT for an HP multi-function shared to Windows PCs and with a Samsung color laser for my girlfriend's Ubuntu laptop.

in my experience these things work a LOT better with tomato, but yea, with these firmwares you can use that USB port for all sorts of neat things, i had it hooked up as a NAS with a USB HD in tomato, worked great!

It's entirely worth the $30 even if it's flashed with Tomato and used as a print server or NAS in concert with an existing network setup.

I just read up on it, and Tomato ND w/ Teddy Bear mod is relevant to my interests. It's a friggin swiss army knife.
