Which laptop brand is better quality?

Looking at Asus G73JH and Sager NP860 and NP8760 laptop computers.

Which brand would last longer, more reliable?

Well i cant tell you about Sager due to me never owning one, but the Asus G73JH i will tell you held up very nicely for me. I just got back from Afghanistan and had that thing for 2 months while i was there. Still working strong after a good dust blowing.

What use do you intend the machine for?

What size 15'' or 17"? Bottom line: If you want 15 and smaller/more attractive machine I would go for the asus. If you want raw power and something that looks kind of ugly, I would go for a the sager. Personally I have been strongly considering getting a sager recently and I emphatically recommend this reseller: http://www.powernotebooks.com/ Also browse the sager/clevo forums on notebookreview.com

So I actually had a bad experience with my asus machine where the display died.

Up until that point, the machine was awesome though. Build quality was nice, stable, powerful and good specs for the time at a fair price. It may have looked a little tacky as it was marked towards "gamers" but it wasn't unattractive.

If you could be a little more specific about what you want I could give you a better suggestion. Good prices on sager right now, perhaps because the ultra portable market is really hot and sager makes kind of big, very powerful machines.

The G73JH is a 17.3" laptop.

Asus has a great warranty, that is what is tempting me right now. I am trying to decide between the same things. For the money, that Asus has everything.
