Hi all,

Getting my VG278HE today and plan on using it at 120hz with lightboost enabled at all times. I want a good calibration for this monitor before and after lightboost is enabled to at least have as close to IPS quality as possible.

Anyone have any color calibrations to share?

A common good starting point calibration, from the LightBoost FAQ for post-LightBoost calibration is the following:

nVidia Control Panel Desktop Brightness = 52%
nVidia Control Panel Desktop Contrast = 45%
nVidia Control Panel Desktop Gamma = 0.70

This fixes the LightBoost gamma bleaching effect. This allows all shades to be seen in Lagom Contrast and Lagom Black Levels at www.lagom.nl/lcd-test ... Further adjustments can be done using the Lagom LCD patterns too. Also, adjust the Contrast in the monitor's OSD until excessive color tints disappear and white clipping disappears. On the VG248QE's, perform better at about 45-50% monitor OSD contrast, and the VG278H's tend to still perform great to about 90% monitor OSD contrast.

This is just a starting point for improved LightBoost color quality -- it gets you more than 75% of the way there.
