Asus VG248QE?

New to the forum here and wasn't really sure where to post this question, but this section seemed like a logical place to put it.

So hey guys, I'm in the market for a a new monitor but this is not my forte. I've been looking through the threads and I feel like I'd get more help here than in the other forum who shall not be named, I won't say because it may be against the rules (although wasn't mentioned).

Basically, I was looking into buying two(Possibly more in the near future) Asus VG248QE's but I haven't really been able to get feedback from people on the other forum. I personally do not like reading reviews on seller's websites such as amazon/newegg because you just NEVER know, right? Besides, here I can jump back and fourth between questions I have with you guys.

So how do you guys feel about this monitors and if anyone has a recommendation for a 120Hz + monitor that won't burn a hole through my wallet it's welcomed.

Why on God's green earth would you need two 120hz monitors? One or three I understand, but two?

VG248QE, XL2420TE, FG2421, upcoming XL2420Z, and the Korean monitors are your options. the VG248QE and XL2420TE use the same panel but the XL2420TE is PWM free and the VG248QE is confirmed for G-SYNC support. the FG2421 is the best if you don't want a larger screen and/or can't manage 120 fps at 2560x1440, but it costs much more than the others. the ASUS and BenQ monitors are TN, the Koreans are either AH-IPS, S-IPS, or PLS, and the FG2421 is VA. the Korean monitors you should be looking at are the QNIX QX2710 or X-Star DP2710 DVI only models (multi-input or single input, non DVI models can't overclock.) the Korean monitors aren't guaranteed to hit 120 Hz without artifacts but 96 Hz is almost guaranteed. these Korean monitors do not support LightBoost or G-SYNC and FreeSync support remains to be seen. they have some image trailing due to slower IPS pixel response times and negligible input delay (~7 ms).

Because if I'm not mistaken you can't have one monitor at 120Hz and a second monitor at 60 Hz, I currently run two monitors and would like to keep it that way until I buy a 3rd 120 Hz monitor.

you can have multiple monitors with different refresh rates. i've done it myself.

But how would that work, would one monitor be running @ 144 Hz and the other at 60Hz or both at 60 Hz?

Let's say my main monitor (Monitor 1) is my new VG248QE(144hz) and my secondary monitor is my HP2511x(60hz). Now, I run a game on a single monitor, my VG248QE, will it be running at 144Hz or at 60Hz because the second monitor is only capable of 60hz and will reduce the maximum refresh rate ?
