Asus VE276Q alternatives?

Any 27" alternatives at $250? Require at least 1 hdmi, dvi, vga, plus 3.5mm in and out. VE278Q is only $50 more but I am not interested unless there's more to it than led vs ccfl. Dont care about ips. Dont care about going higher resolution (not upgrading my 5770 until I actually need to). Will be using the headphone jack, anyone have experience with that? Just want to use it for audio from ps3 hdmi and x-fi 3.5mm. My headphones do not require amplification.
 
i purchased the VE278Q yesterday on sale for 275 (CompUSA, in store). it llooked great in store, if i may say so. i hope i dont regret not going higher res xD
