Well, I built a computer about 2-3 months ago for my relatives, and it consisted of an A7N8X deluxe/Barton 2500 combo, 512 MB of corsair XMS, and an Asus-made Ti4200. Well, right now I'm here visiting them, and they said that the computer has been making strange noises for almost a week now. Upon powering it up, I heard a strange grinding/whirring/struggling noise and I instantly thought hard drive, but upon inspection, I saw that the fan on the video card was loose! Has anyone else with the same video card had the same problem? What kind of risk is involved with this, and more importantly, what would you do in this situation?

Does yours have the green reference heatsink? I had one and the fan died after a month or so less, replaced it with a socket7 HSF i had laying around.

Nope, it has the large silver heatsink that covers the core and the RAM. I bought it off of newegg. The fan is spinning very loosely. I read the reviews on newegg and other people have had the same problem....I just don't know what to do for this computer as I'm leaving tomorrow.
