One of the last decisions I have to make for my new PC is the case. I have been looking around and the Asus TA-250 seems like a good choice, clean looking, cheap and appears to have what i am looking for, which is 4 5.25" bays, 2 3.25" external and 4 3.25" internal, along with front USB/audio/firewire.

So what do you think? Anybody with experience with this case? It doesn't have a removable mobo tray, does it?

Anybody else have another case they can recommend? I like simple, cheap, must have front usb/audio and maybe firewire, I'd like to have 4x5.25/2x3.25 ext/4x.3.25 int. A removable motherboard tray would be cool too, for when I do the build.

Side question about removable mobo trays... are they any good? Am I just as well without one? It certainly seems handy.

At least it's not the VENTO.

If you are looking for a really good value cheap case, consider the one of the Compucase
LX-6A19 series of cases: http://www.directron.com/cslx6a19bl.html

I have built a couple of systems with this case. It is damn (is it even on) quiet, and one of the few cases at this price range that takes 120mm fans. Several quiet PC manufacturers use this case to add some $5 rubber grommets and some foam padding and jack up the price by over $120: http://www.quietpcusa.com/acb/showdetl.cfm?&DID=8&Product_ID=140&CATID=9
