I got some dudes box used, which helped stave off a new build from my aging E6600 system. It has a Core2 QX9650, Asus Striker II extreme and I added 8gb of Ripjaw DDR3 1600.
In any event... I have this issue where when I first turn it on it partially posts, but USB/Video (maybe other parts) don't come online. The fans all spin up like normal, but I have to reboot for video/usb support. Sometimes it works on the first reboot sometimes it takes 2 or 3 reboots. I currently have the bios running defaults, no overclocking.
Has anyone had an issue like this? I googled but couldn't find anything similar to this. Been building for 15 years and haven't come across it. any help is appreciated. Unfortunately I dont have the original receipts so an RMA is out of the question, and finding a nice LGA 775 board that supports DDR3 is rather hard to do.
