Ok here's the problem.

I was using a Asus SK8N motherboard with 2x 80GB SATA (raid 0) hard disk + 2GIG DDR memory for months, 100% stable, no memory error etc...

I sold recently my combo (mobo, cpu, ram, cooler) to a local guy and he cannot install windows xp successfully. Here's the problem: He is using a IDE hard disk and he says the computer always restarts at the blue prompt (when installing windows XP). It's surely a setting in the bios or something. By the way, he's using winxp 'boot disks' to install windows. I got no clue why but whatever

If you have any idea, please let me know.

The blue prompt?

What do you mean by bootdisks? The WinXP CD is bootable -- is that what he's using or some sort of floppy disk?

Is he using a single drive but still have RAID setup in the BOIS? I would start by clearing the CMOS and then using an XP Bootable CD and go from there... sounds like an ID10T error to me... :p
