Hey guys,
My "ASUS Assist" fan is acting up (the one near the rear I/O Panel). I believe it's actually called an "I/O Cover Fan". My 5 year warranty expired about a half a year ago. I'm a bit nervous to just completely remove it, in case there's some sort of heat sink under there.
I looked for a replacement on ebay but couldn't find one. People are selling broken motherboards for about $20 including shipping (including the fan), but eh... The fans are probably used for years at that point.
It is a 3-pin fan and hooked up via 5V line (from motherboard PDF specs). I wonder if this would be a suitable direct fit in replacement? http://noctua.at/en/products/fan/nf-a4x10-5v/
Or if anyone has ever replaced this fan, please let me know what you used.
Thank you!
