The crew at Overclockers Club say they were "blown away" by ASUS ROG Orion Pro gaming headset. If you need a new headset, you might want to give this review the once over.

Having completely disposed of the Vulcan ANC headset from ASUS, I honestly expected – and was ready to – hate this headset as well. However, I was completely blown away by the ROG Orion Pro headset. It was beyond my expectations in sound, depth, and overall performance/ease of use.

Pleather aka sweat monster pads. Otherwise, looks like they are not a bad deal for the money.

I'm so spoiled by my wireless G930. I'd like to give these a go, but being wired kinda kills it for me.

Highly skeptical. Although ASUS seems to understand its audio audience and has released some quality sound cards and external solutions , I'm highly doubtful they could really do a solid set of cans.

But hey , you don't know unless you try.

Yeah, apparently Asus has had some great successes with their soundcards...

with the exception of the RoG phoebus that has been an utter disaster.for features, drivers, and support.

Well at least in the past ASUS was better about that. At least with USB you can basically use whatever you want and you no longer have to be a slave to a sound card interal solution on the PC.

I'm actually quite pleased with the onboard solution on my Maximus V Formula, and before that I had a Xonar.

I don't know if I could ever go for a headset however. I'm too in love with mid/high-end cans. I plan to get myself a nice little upgrade after this deployment, cant wait :D
