alright, ive heard this tool isnt too accurate. some say it overstates temps by as much as 10c..

i just installed an opteron 165 (still at stock speed and voltage) with a scythe ninja+yate loon fan. asus pc probe says the cpu temp is 34c at idle. this sound right to you guys? do you guys use any other monitoring utils besides MBM?

dual primed for almoust 4 hours..max temp asus probe said was 46c. feels like it should be lower..any suggestions?

my pcprobe is accurate.
to see if yours is correct get another monitoring software and compare them. that's what i did w/ mine and i found both software to report the same temps.
46C primed is just about right.

try speedfan

asus probe will be as accurate as ANY program because they all read from the same sensors on the mobo.

touch the heat sink with your hand - that is how i measure my temps - if i can keep my finger on heat sink for more then 10 seconds - it is below about 47C for me - since i worked in kitchens i have a high tolerance for heat so for others the temp could be diff.

i do recall hearing Asus tends to report about 10C over? or was that Abit.
