Here is an odd issue that maybe someone here can shed some light on.
At work, we are running 23" Asus PB238 monitors on HP T310 zero clients. We've had several zero clients fail with no DVI output (known issue about a bad diode and HP is replacing the affected units)
The issue is, we have (so far) 6 monitors that have stopped showing on DVI, however, they haven't been connected to the failed zero clients, but are connected to some that have been identified that will fail.
I can test these monitors fully with a PC and I get a display using DVI, VGA and Display Port. However, testing on an HP T310, I don't get DVI output (no matter what T310 I use, i've tried it on six units and on two EVGA PD06's (same chipset).
Is it possible that a diode issue (or something else related to DVI) and go from the T310 over DVI and affect the monitor ? I'm not up on the pinouts, so I don't know for sure, but I suspect that one of the pinouts used by the teredici chipset in the zero clients has been affected on the monitor side and its not a pinout that a PC's DVI connector would use.
Any suggestions ?
