upon startup of my pc i see the asus mobo splash for a second (at which point pressing del to access bios does nothing) and then it goes to a check for the some sort of asmedia device controller. i think its called the pci1066x or something like that. it checks for a device, says no device found and then takes me to my motherboard splash again at which point i can press del to access the bios.
my question is whether or not i can disable this device controller in the bios so that i will not see the check at startup. i figure since im not using whatever it is it shouldnt matter if its turned on right? im just trying to cut down my boot time, let me know if i missed something or there is some reason i shouldnt be pursuing this.
