Asus P8p67 Pro - Temp differential???

My bios is happily reporting my temp at around 60C

Asus Ai Suite II reports it around 26C (motherboard at 28)

OC at 4.5 shows Asus AI Suite at around 40C.... (with Coolermaster 212+)

which means the bios would be reporting almost 80C!

This is the latest build of Ai Suite and Bios as of yesterday... THOUGHTS?

While in the BIOS, all of the power saving (C1E, Speedstep, etc) functions are not active with some load on the CPU. That would explain a higher temperature.

Mine idles at around 40C in BIOS but in Windows, with my normal apps running (ie: not stressing the CPU with much load at all) around 30C.

Unless you are seeing very high temperatures at load, I wouldn't worry about it.

I have the same mobo and cooler, running 2600k at 4.5 GHz. 100% load 24/7 I'm getting 57*C.

I use CPUID HW Monitor & Realt Temp 3.65 to view my temps. Both are within 1*C of one another.
