I am having issues with my first build. Whenever I restart my computer I get a screen that says:
"New CPU installed! Please enter Setup to configure your system.
Press F1 to Run SETUP
Press F2 to load default values and continue"

When i run the setup and save the settings they do not save after a reboot. I have tried clearing the RTC RAM and removing the CMOS battery and replacing it but I still get the new cpu screen at start up. Anyone know what else it could be? Have I overlooked anything?

Save the default settings and then access the BIOS and configure it. Should do the trick.

I just tried that and it did not work. Thanks for advice. I might have to contact ASUS because I have tried just about everything I can think of.

I'm having the exact same problems. How do I find and save these default settings? I can access the BIOS, but nothing changes when I try loading the Failsafe or Optimal settings. For some reason, I can't adjust the boot order of my drives in the BIOS either. None of the menu items show a boot order function. I contacted my mobo manufacturer, too (XFX). Still awaiting a response.

Just heard from XFX. They think it's a problem with the RAM settings. I gave them my RAM's model number and they'll send the proper memory settings to be entered in the BIOS. I'll post the results.
