to get to the point, i have a p5q vanilla that shows no video, usb keyboard/mouse are not detected, no beeps from speaker.. the cpu socket has rows of pins that seem to be flat but i doubt that might be why.. i am starting to believe that the bios is corrupt. i have a m3a76-cm that im using right now and my idea was to download a p5q bios and go into the utility on this motherboard, hot swap the bios chips and then flash it. would this damage my current motherboard or chip by hot swapping it in ez flash?

also there are no signs of blown caps on the board or any type of physical damage.. which is why i believe its a bios issue

p5q is an older board, I have a p5ql pro on one of my machines...

- did it work in the past - something has been changed? - or is this the first time you tried the board?

it worked in the past perfectly fine. but then i upgraded and didnt use the board in a while - i tried a q6600 and e6300 and all give the same results. i am almost positive that it's either the socket or bios.
