A friend is coming over soon with his ASUS P5Q SE PLUS, and E8500, and will be buying a new HSF (he's just been using the stock heatsink). He wants to see how far this thing will go, personally if the mobo can do a 400MHz bus, I want to see 3.8GHz. 3.6 if that doesn't work.

The lack of NB/PWM cooling is scaring me... what do you guys think?

I had to install a 40mm fan over the nb chipset heatsink on my P5Q pro to handle the heat load. Heatsink got so hot it was no touchy, touchy.
