Hey guys.
I have a Asus P5Q-E Mobo that is giving me some headaches with the SPDIF out on the back . I Swear i remember reading a comment about it somewhere onine but couldn't find it again. Anyways, im running my Optical cable form the Optical out on the back of the mobo to a full DTS/DD/DPLII capable receiver and sound does some out but it won't let me select 5.1 in ANY software. Including windows. I go into the setup and go through the properties and enable DTS WMA pro and all that to show windows that the reciever is capable. Run a test sound pattern and it correctly separates the channels, great works so far. Then i pop a BR [bluray] in and for some reason it uses pro logic through the whole movie meaning it isnt actually sending the proper 5.1 through the optical to my reciever. Also i am not able to select 6 speaker or 5.1 in any software such as games, or properties for the speakers. Someone please help its driving me nuts.

The audio driver im using is the latest one from asus's website the SoundMAX dealie and its associated software called blackhawk also wont let me set up 5.1 via the spdif.

Any ideas??
