I'm not sure what's happening, but each time WinXP loads, my video is in 640*480 mode. Here are the system specs:

1. Asus P5AD2-E Premium
2. Intel P4 3.2 64 bit, with 2mb L2 Cache
3. eVGA PCI-Express 6800 Geforce Ultra (256 meg)
4. newest Nvidia Drivers (7.1.8.4.)

I'll set my resolution to 1280x1024 (32 bit, 75 hz). When I reboot, the machine continually loads in 640*480 mode. It'll do so if I change the refresh rate to 72 hz as well.

All the overclocking features in the BIOS are set to AUTO.

Please let me know of anything that may be causing the issues.

Thanks,

Jason

Are you sure you have the correct video drivers for your card?
If so, see if you can try another vid card... Not sure if a faulty mobo would cause those problems...?

G'luck!

Sounds like the drivers aren't installed right to me, since Graphics cards that have no drivers will automatically boot into the smallest resolution

I thought they were the right ones...I've been building PCs for at least 10 years now...

They're the newest Nvidia drivers that came out. I did install the specific Evga drivers for the card, which included the newest rev of the Forceware drivers.
