Now this is a first I suppose.
My newly aquired ASUS P505 works great. The keypad is wonderful, the joystick is great and the ASUS menu works fine for what it's designed for.
One problem I have though is that sometimes the LCD is totally non responsive to taps on items and icons on screen. If the background light goes off, then I tap the screen and the light goes back on, but still I can't tap any icons nor items.
I can click the start button without problems. But I can not tap any start menu items. It just closes the menu.
I have done several hardresets and softresets, upgraded to the latest ROM and BIOS. Realigned the LCD and run Scarybears "Check notifications" software to remove dupes.
All the buttons and flip lid always works flawlessly. Very responsive.
Any ideas as to why the screen taps bugs out every so often? (it does come back after 5-10 minutes and works fine). Happens about 3-4 times a day. GSM signal is between 2 and 4 bars all the times. Receiving and making calls works fine. SMS and MMS works fine.
