Is AI Suite the software for Asus motherboards that lets you overclock the motherboard/cpu from within Windows? Has anyone used this AI Suite and how does it work?

It's ok with the P67 boards, but I find it overvolts too much for the speed it settles in at. Manually overclock and don't rely on the software.

I posted this in the other Asus post but here it goes again

So you can't use the software to manually set the voltages and other BIOS settings?

Has nothing to do with the OP's question.

I can't vouch for any earlier versions but the AI Suite II that came with my P68 board works well enough. It directly modifies the settings in the BIOS and yes you can change pretty much any voltage that you can in the BIOS. The only difference that i can see is that the settings are not applied when you boot the computer, but rather when you load the OS.

So it sounds like it is better to modify the BIOS settings directly in the BIOS than to use the AI Suite application.
