ASUS OC Quality

Well, I'm wondering if anything changed, because I have a ASUS P4T-E, and it can't overclock. The CPU can OC well, it's just after 100mhz, the mobo shuts down and it takes 30 mins to restart the computer.

So has ASUS overclockability changed since 2002?

ASUS mid-high end boards are some of the best out there for overclocking. I don't know about the board you have, but I've owned several ASUS boards and all of them were excellent overclockers.

Heat may be a problem.
what temps are you getting for your NB,SB,CPU...

It's one of those RDRAM mobos, a P4T-E.

CPU is at 55 degrees, the mobo (Only mobo temps reported) is at 40 degrees. The heatsink has been reseated and all that stuff.

All measurements in C*

Those temps are too high. 30-40C on cpu is a good # to shoot for and the NB should be atleast 8C colder

First, I'd like to point out there is a rule on resurrecting old threads, but since you took the time to do it, thanks.

It doesn't really matter anymore, as I got my new computer, and I believe the heat is an inherent fault with the system.
