Asus Maximus VI Extreme CPU-INIT error

So I had just finished hooking up my new rig when I turned it on to find a CPU-INIT error displayed on the LCD of the ROG monitoring device. So this means no bios screen posts, no output is given.

Specifications:

CPU: Intel 4770k I7
Cooler: Corsair H100i
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Extreme
PSU: Ultra x3 1200/1600 Watt
Ram: Kingston 2100+ DDR3 8gigs (x2)
2x MSI N580GTX lightning 3gig

I've tried re-seating the 12v and 24v and CPU, not using any videocards (just using onboard), running only 1 stick of ram, running no hard drives etc. but to no avail, still getting the CPU light on the motherboard and the CPU init error on the ROG display.

This system is new, never been overclocked, and I find it super hard to believe that the CPU or Motherboard is bad. Any ideas?
 
Update:

I took everything off the board, benched it on cardboard and just connected the power and ROG display. The result was the same, red CPU LED light and CPU-INIT error on the display, but there were no beeps or sounds what so ever.

So my question is, is this board supposed to beep if there isn't a CPU? Every board I've ever used has done this, and this one doesn't.
