After running Realbench Stress Test for just 15 minutes according to Core Temp, Idle Min was 26C and Max temp was 73C. The other 3 cores were within 2 or 3 degrees.
My 7700K is at 4.9Ghz and while testing Core Temp read 1.3644 volts. Water cooled by Raystorm Pro, EX CE 420 radiator, D5 set on 3.5 and Photon 170 res. Nothing else in the loop. The 7700k is re-lidded with CL Liquid Ultra. A 47 degree C difference between Low and Max is a bit high yes? I see similar spikes simply opening up web pages. Is this normal???

That sounds about right for an Intel CPU. They use TIM now instead of soldiering the IHS to the die. The result is poor thermal performance. The only way to get around it would be to delid the processor and use liquid metal TIM between die and IHS I do it with all my Intel CPU but beware it will void the warranty. Expect 6-8c differential in thermal performance which is worth it IMHO.
Use this for TIM

BTW I have relidded using PermaTex RTV and RMA'd the same proc with no issue with warranty guess they didn't catch it but I was pretty careful to do a perfect replication. YMMV

You see a similar 40 degree jump when opening webpages? Or are you referring to the voltage at that moment?

Thanks, but I think you didn't read all of my post. ;)
My apologies I did not read it all. Now that I have I made a huge mistake on one build where I forgot to peel the clear film off the waterblock simply browsing would spike the heat. I decided to remount the block and when cleaning up the old TIM I noticed it daaa. In any case check it and make sure hope this helps.

I did not spread BS, I didn't read it all my bad I put forth considerable effort to help this individual nothing I suggested or put forth is BS and has been well spread by myself and many others, go FYS troll you offered nothing but your BS

Close. The voltage stays at 1.3499, but Min 26C and Max 63C just a few moments ago opening a couple of pages.

On my g3258 my temperature is extremely inaccurate and it sounds like yours. Example, if I watch the temps in hwmonitor (doesn't matter the program, they all do the same) and open something it immediately jumps to like 60 degrees, but only for that second that the page opens and then quickly drops back to 27 as if nothing happens.

I haven't been able to figure out what the hell is going on, honestly. Same as if I am running a stress test. It will sit at 60ish and the second I stop the test BOOM 27 again.

Similar experience for you? Or is the climb and drop a bit more gradual?

Yes, the same. I'm gonna start up my 2600K system and see how it behaves.

My 2600K @ 4.5Ghz Antec Kuhler 920 system after 15 minutes of Realbench had a Min of 31C and Max of 67C. Core Temp read 1.356v during the test.
I'm at a loss why my current 7700K system runs so hot with a very good water cooling set up.

I have my 7700k running 4.8 @1.35 but I also delidded mine and relidded using liquid metal. Max I saw was 42/43 stress test for an hour with peime95. Using nzxt x61 for cooling.
