I've been scouring the web for a couple of weeks now, but can't seem to find a good forum for this little monster. Thought I might start one here. Hope its OK :)

I've ordered one of this babies from a friend abroad. Hope it arrives in two weeks.

For those who have this board or experienced using it, please post your feedback here.

TIA!

By the time this board arrives in the States, cows would be flying (like when they delayed R2G by a month or so not too long ago):)

mini review of my M2G!

-no vdroop thanks to load line calibration
-full pcie 16x using one graphic card:

-nice fsb out of the box with an e8500:

-good max fsb with a quad core 45nm: q8200S (TD 65w)

-nice memory bandwith with a quad core: it is possible to run memory in async mode fsb@475 strap333 PL8:

And works great with 2 HD4770 crossflashed with asus TOP bios because it is possible to raise the vgpu on both card simultaneously (and hence ocing) as opposed to DFI JR P45 or LT X48!

Great mini review you have there!

@lillimon04

I'll have to ask my buddy where he is sourcing the board from. But I think it will most likely come from HongKong

this board was announced a while back, but i also couldn't find much info on it. really hope it doesn't turn out to be like the bigger brother maximus II formula, because that one is crap! and i think it's also pretty late to come out with another p45 chipset during the time that p55 is about to launch.

@lillimon04
It will arrive next Saturday.
Around $260 US shipping included.

@WhiteFireDragon

why is the Maximus II Formula crap?

$260 for P45....

That's just ridiculous. It's available in Sweden for $230, and that's with 25% sales tax. I expect it to be in the US around $180... It would have been great 6 months ago, but today you have to wonder...

The price I got for the board really sucks, but its a sacrifice I made for not moving to i7. I just love my Q9650 so much, can't let it go just yet.

I was hoping on buying this board myself, I can't seem to get anything past 3.0GHz with a Q6600 on a G31M-ES2L and I was always an ASUS fan myself before I got this board.

Personally I woudn't pay anymore than $130.00 USD for that board.. or any board in general that has a 775 socket.

I guess the P45-T2RS is my next choice.

Great review however! :D

Finally got my MIIG over the weekends. It's a great looking board. I just finished setting up the board on my rig and installed a fresh OS and all the drivers and apps that came with the board. I'm having a bit problem though in using the onboard audio. The analog audio lines seems not to be working and are undetectable in windows, when I use the optical line however, I can only output stereo and not dolby 5.1 or DTS 5.1

I'm still in the process of researching the kinks mentioned above.....
