First of all, is the Asus M3A a good motherboard? Second of all, I have the thermalright xp-90 heat sink, will it fit on this board nicely?

Thx

it's a good board, been running it since they released it. If your cooler supports AM2, or AM2+ it'll fit. There's a thread over on Legit reviews dedicated to the M3A, and one over at XtremeSystems forums. It's a better board for over clocking the X2 than the Phenom, but nothing is Ocing the Phenom very well. FSB wall without extra cooling on the NB is 360-380.

Pluses, pcie 2.0, ht 3.0, phenom compatibility, ddr2, price
Cons 2 mobo fan connectors, placement of the Ide and floppy connectors

I also have the M3A and love it. It has been the best AM2 I have owned . I currently have a x2 5200+, 2 GB corsair XMS, Visiontek 3850 and it runs everything I need.
