Asus GPU warranty question

I have an Asus r9 290x with a reference cooler that I'm looking to swap the cooler off of for a quieter one. Does anyone know Asus' warranty policy on removing the original cooler? I'd like to avoid voiding the warranty if possible.

On the bottom of the card, there is a sticker over one of the four base screws, but the sticker doesn't say "void if removed" or anything like that. Just a sticker with a circle on it. It will definitely have to be removed to swap the cooler.

Also - does anyone know if Asus' warranty on graphics cards is still serial based?

Thanks for any help in advance.

last I remember they didn't allow it - This is why I like MSI, as you can modify the cooling no problem as long as you don't physically damage the card

Pulled from there website, I wouldn't recommend removing origianl cooler.

Hmm. That is quite unfortunate. Not a huge deal though, I guess the sound doesn't bother me too much anyway since my AC in the room is even louder than the ref cooler.

Thanks for all the replies

"Asus video card warranty" are words that do not belong in the same sentence

just look at the card funny and they'll try and tell you its physical damage and your shit out of luck... lol
