i'm getting inaccessible boot device BSOD on this thing. windows 7 OS, no tinkering with bios or overclocking or whatever.

is this an issue with the hardware or the software? reformatting is fine if that's what it'll take, i'm hoping i don't have to send this thing back for warranty.

i've had it 3 or 4 months max.

I'm not great with troubleshooting but I'll put my 2 cents in.

Try checking the bios settings and make sure its trying to boot from the correct device but it sounds like you have a bad HDD. Did yours come with two HDD's? if so tell it to boot from the non-OS drive, should give you a no-OS found error. If that is the case, dead drive or corrupt OS but at least not a mobo issue.

sorry, guys for not following up. I been busy.

apparently i'm stupider than i thought. It was trying to boot from the USB device i had plugged in. so i unplugged it and it booted just fine.
