where can i get Asus G1 in California in which stores! the reason is my uncle says newegg aint reliable he had bad experience! so plz could any one tell me
in which store i can find ASUS G1 plz Any help would be appreciated...

Ummm... since when is Newegg not reliable? Usually, if they say they have it (which they do), they do. Having made hundreds of orders from them over the years, I'd say they still are as good as anyone. Not always the best price, but with cheap 3-day shipping to your door they're still a great option...

Newegg definitely has the G1 in, I read a thread on NoteBookForums about this and people were calling Newegg to confirm they were in and they indeed had 10 G1's in stock now that was about 2 weeks ago so those could be gone. But as Gordon said if Newegg says in stock then they have them in stock, if you are worried call them. If your uncle says Newegg is not reliable for a different reason then I will call B*llSh*t b/c if we can't trust Newegg then you can't trust any online seller.

guys the topic is not abt newegg no offence! plz list some stores which have ASUS G1 thx.

Do you mean in store like Bestbuy/Circuit City or other online sellers? I don't know of any traditional stores that carry ASUS notebooks and I know that online resellers gentechpc, milestonepc, etc. are taking preorders on the G1 which they say will be in around x-mas (so soon if not already though I would say that their first shipments are already sold out) So if you can wait go to a reseller and put in your order if you don't want to wait order from NEWEGG<----------------------------------------JUST AS RELIABLE AS ANY SELLER!!!!

IDK, check all the websites of stores that are near you, I'm almost positive that you have to buy ASUS from an online reseller, google ASUS resellers and see if any are within driving distance. If they aren't you are going to have to convince your uncle that buying online is reliable.

That was me! I got one and am posting on it right now. This baby is sweet but I had some trouble reformatting in the beginning and finally got it good to go, well I still need to Google all these programs I may or may not need. Still got like 60 processes running so meh...

that i funny....glad you figured stuff out, I remember a thread on NBF a while back that was about ASUS laptops and installing certain drivers that ASUS doesn't include on CD's, things to run touch pad on/off doggle switch for example.

guys i decided to go with HP Pavilion dv9000t :D the thing is which battery shd i pick i want maximum battery life there are four options

1.8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery

2.High Capacity 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery

3.Extra 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
Get two 8-cell batteries so that you'll always have enough power!

4.Two High Capacity 8 Cell Lithium Ion Batteries

NOTE: the battery weight shd be light :p

is there any difference between 15'inch and 17'inch notebooks
and last how can i email my config to my uncle i added the item to cart but i cant find the email option!

plz reply ASAP thx in advance!

we already told you no chain store that we know of sells asus laptops

if you want to buy from a physical store then you'd have to go to one of the resellers (which i listed in my first reply, luckily for you it's listed by state) and hope that they will let you buy one straight from their building.

battery preference is up to you, if you will be using it unplugged a lot then get two batteries, call Hp and ask what the difference is in the regular and high capacity bats.

Difference in size and weight of course, I would say more but your question is too vague to give a good answer to.

bleh sorry i missed your last post

from hp

The High Capacity 8-cell battery will provide extended usage time as compared to the standard 8-cell, thanks to it's 2.55 AHr cells (2.2 AHr on the standard battery).

i'd imagine you'd get like 30-45 more minutes on the high capacity battery, not sure about the weight but i'd imagine it be about the same give or take an ounce. might want to call hp to make sure.

also, don't get the 512mb version of the 7600go (get the 256 mb version), it will probably get you 1-5 more fps, so it's not really worth a $125 upgrade

thx for pointing that out! and the last question how can i email the configured page to my uncle.

you're buying from the hp site, right?

just keep configuring till you get to the review page (right before you add to the cart)

Nope. None.
seriously, WTF? You answered your own fucking question. One is BIGGER than the other. This gives the bigger one more vent space, heat capacity, possibly spindle options, higher resolution, more I/O, ...
