anyone "waiting" for this should look at the Emotiva XDA-1.
its $299 right now.
 
Wow the Emotiva dac is as good as any I have heard. That is a steal for $500 new much less $300. Hell, I liked it better than any other dac in the under $1000 range except for a highly modded Ps Audio superdac that I had a few years back.

While I'm sure that's an awesome DAC the Essence One is also a headphone amp which could make the Essence One a better purchase, even if it doesn't sound as good as the XDA-1.
