I'm thinking of buying ASUS' new compact computer - basically a tiny laptop. I want to run it in a live performance with synthesizers. Basically the computer makes the sounds and a pad remotely handles it.

My question is that the requirements for a synth library says that it needs 1024x768 but this laptop puts out 800x480. Is this likely not going to work?

The laptops internal screen is 800 x 480, but if you can use an external monitor it can put out up to 1600 x 1200.

Make sure the software is able to run in linux, because the eee uses a linux-based OS.

IMO, it is too expensive.
