How does it handle 720p+ videos?

Yes I'm aware the screen is only 1024x600 :p

if the 900 is anything like the 1000HE in CPU specs, it can play 720p with no probs. I have mine playing Quantum of Solace right now and it's butter.

The screen resolution has nothing to do with its ability to play back HD video.

If the video in question is h264, then CoreAVC will play it back perfectly fine.

VLC works perfect.

Don't even touch the bloated slow app that is VLC.

MPC-HC + CoreAVC. CoreAVC being the most efficient h264 decoder there is.

Yes I know that, I was referring to the screen resolution being much smaller than the video's, so it will downscale.

The 1000HE has the Intel Atom processor at 1.66 Ghz so it will probably own celeron :p

And yeah I've always used MPC-HC

Thanks all! Might pull the trigger on this soon.
