ASUS & Audigy Problem

So I go my new parts today, installed them to find that the my ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe has problems with my Audigy 2 ZS; it can't start the GamePort or the primary WDM Audio processor. Needless to say there was a lot of swearing over this.

Is anyone else having this problem or have you heard of this before?
