Asus an8-vm + 6800xt PCI-E problem (blank screen)

hy guys,

I sold today my vga (6800xt PCI-E) to a friend of mine who has the Asus A8n-vm motherboard.
he called me a couple hours ago telling that he can´t install this vga on his mobo.

he already setup all the bios settings to run the pci-e first but with no result. Even if he start the pc with the onboard card(connected to monitor), windows did not recognize the new vga card.

he is using the latest bios for this mobo (i don´t remeber what is) and he doesn´t know what else to do.

can you guys help me?
