Ok, so my friend bought a new computer (well, all the parts anyway) from newegg.com. He got a AMD Athlon64 3500+ 939, etc. He also got a Antec NeoPower 480watt, Corsair XMS PC3200 ECC Registered. ATi Radeon 9700, mouse, soundblaster Audigy2, etc.. We thought it was the ram, so I brought my own PC3200 DDR400 and it's Value SeLect.
With my ram (value select) it posts but says that it doesn't detect a processor, press F1 to flash bios or something along those lines.
With his ram, it posts and then says a bad checksum.
So, I think we've ruled out the RAM, but what about the processor?
Could it even be the PSU?
Edit: We got a new message that said New CPU Installed press F1 to conifgure.
So we did, then it booted and said
NTDLR file is corrupted.
Again, we removed the HDD and now it will install windows of the CD.
