Anybody have a guide to this? I've been reading up on it at XtremeSystems forum, and it seems fairly simple, but I'm slightly confused as to what the VR does. By connecting the ping to the ground, does it ground the CPU voltage to 0? and setting the resistence higher sets the voltage higher?

Or does grounding the pin up the CPU voltage? and lowering the resistence set the voltage higher?
 
VR == voltage readback.

the IC gets info regarding what voltage the processor is actually getting at any given moment via that pin, and adjusts how much voltage it supplies to the processor accordingly.

by putting a resistor between that pin and ground, you reduce how much voltage the IC thinks that the processor is getting, and the IC gives the processor some extra voltage until it thinks that the processor has enough, meaning that the processor is really getting extra voltage in reality.

never totally groud that pin, or it will kill both your processor and board. the IC will feed all the voltage that it can to the processor, burning out both in the process.

if you don't understand how things like this work, then you might not want to try and do the mod.

Makes perfect sense actually :) I just performed the Volt mod, and it worked flawlessly... now I can scream along at 2.2 volts! =)

Unfortunately.... my pump died.. again... so I can't be seeing how far I can push this thing till at least a week from now... o well... I should study for exams anyways :)
