i bought this card about a month ago maybe less. I was using a 350 watt psu @ the time and it was artifacting like crazy on boot up so i thought maybe its my psu. i went out and grabbed a 680 watt psu from work and it still does it. everyonce in a while. When i can get it to boot and i can get into windows i play cs:source,nfsu2,half life2 and doom 3 all on high to ultra higfh settings. Any idea on what the problem is i tried changing drivers today and its still doing it i dont o/c my video cards only my cpu and i only do it for maybe 5 min just to sahow a friend i can reach speeds of 4.2ghz+.. PLEASE HELP ME
 
Make shure it's good placed in a AGP slot. Best would be take it out and reinstallit making shure it goes all the way down.


If that doesn't help try that VGA card in other PC (to see if Your mobo and other components work)
If it does with other PC to then it could be damaged memory modules on VGA card or it's voltage regulator module (power supply)

You can get UPC's from most computer stores, check with the power supply forum for type/size/brand because frankly I'm not sure.

The up side is that they are also large batteries that act to regulate power by taking in power whether dirty or not and storing it and cleaning it then sending quite nearly perfect power to your psu. Even this isn't your problem, they save people lots of money from brownouts and other potential electrical problems so you might end up liking it.

Are you sure that it's a real ultra or just some flashed xt? I would also say power, what brand pwer supply was the 680?
 
Everyone always says power just because so many little kids go out and buy DFI nF4's and a Rosewill PSU...

Video Cards can become corrupted EASILY. All it takes is a little static electricity, from sitting on your bed, resting against a metal computer case, or whatever it may be.
