Astro a50 conflict with sound card

been dealing with this lately and intermittently - sometimes they work together sometimes they don’t. When they don’t - the card disappears from the device list completely even though it’s plugged in. Sometimes the headphones will have issues, particularly with the mic portion - it simply won’t work - switching USB ports will eventually fix it but then the sound card is gone. Anyone else seen this before? The card is a creative xifi fatality titanium?
 
Do you normally use usb headsets with sound cards? What exactly is the point of using them together anyway?
 
just to rule out your windows install is A ok....Have you ran the system file checker lately? Had to do a clean install on mine to fix some data corruption that happen somewhere along the line. (probably happened when my ram was misconfigured)
 
No, will try tonight. I’m trying to recall if it was even recognized in my bios gui
