Asterisk...GXP-2000 phones behind nat -> server behind nat = problem

Hi all,

I hope someone else has run into this.

Here is the situation:
Phone1 & Phone2 are on 192.168.79.0/24
Server is 10.13.8.0/24

Both have nat and are in physically different locations.

Problem 1: Peer status unreachable.
The phones can register with the asterisk server but "sip show peers" shows status as unreachable.

Problem2: Test call to simply playback a sound doesn't work:

I used this guide when setting mine up. Situation 4 seems to be the one you are in.

I got audio working ok (jittery, but the asterisk machine is in a vmware box), however sip show peer still shows them as unreachable. Occasionally they pop online and after a minute or two they go offline again
