My ASROCK board came with software to create a RAM Drive to store the paging file. According to the documentation related to the software, it says it is bad to keep your paging file on your SSD. is this true? Does it shorten the life of the SSD?

What are the best practices to ensure longevity for your SSD?

The only reason im not running the XRAM software right now is because I noticed that my pc actually booted up slower because I was not able to do a WIndows backup with it configured.

You don't have to worry about the paging file being on the SSD. In fact this is the preferred location.

Writes to the paging file are actually somewhat rare, relative to other things in daily usage.
