Asrock B550M ITX/ac & GhostBSD?

What GPU is being used? Which version of GhostBSD is being used? Which CPU?
GhostBSD won't have any problems with the B550 chipset, but there are too many other variables at play to give any other direction.

AMD Ryzem 5700 a RTX 4060 & GTX 1050ti neither worked...
Install FreeBSD, and from there get yourself up to GUI one command at a time. GhostBSD is known to have various bugs. FreeBSD approach at least will tell you what is failing and why.

It seems almost all the Linux community hates XLibre, not sure why, they think they are Nazis is all I know. Don't ask, apparently it offends them, I had a thread closed on the Manjaro forun twice. Solus had no interest un talking. XBSD has no prob. with XLibre. The SystemD age var. code bothers me though.

I have no feelings either way about it. If it makes things difficult for your dad, why go that route though?

Feelings among the Linux community dictate what distro your dad will be using? ;)
Why you feel you must talk with people on forums about XLibre?

I am using XLibre on Devuan. Works perfectly. I don't care what others have to say about XLibre. I am just glad it works.
BSD is lacking a lot of desktop features compared to any Linux, you will have hard time using it on a daily basis.

That is user friendly right? I remember being on the site & I don't think I found downloads. It is rolling also? Init sys?

You are asking about Devuan? It's Debian Stable with SysVInit instead of systemd. That's it.
XLibre can be installed from external repo, after. Add two together, and you end up with very solid, mature system. If you know Debian, then you will feel just like at home. It's suitable for family members, too. Nothing breaks, nothing changes, until next major Debian version, many years between them.

Yeah, if you aren't chasing the latest version of software and don't need drivers for the newest hardware, Debian stable is rock solid. Even if you do, there are ways to make it work, it's just maybe not the most suitable base for that. But if something does work, you can trust that it likely will continue to work (unless you update that software and it uses a new feature that isn't supported on stable yet).

CPU won't be any problem at all. Nvidia drivers can sometimes be buggy. I have a FreeBSD system with a 1080, and it took some fiddling to get the right combination of Nvidia drivers and DRM for it to work. Not a lot, but it wasn't just install and go. Once I got it working, it has been without issues. Since GhostBSD will handle things just a touch different, some of the things that work on FreeBSD may not apply. I don't use Ghost, so I can't say for certain.

Not really, unless you are using a laptop due to hardware support, which is not the case here. The only thing for normal daily use missing from FreeBSD or GhostBSD is the Widevine DRM closed source binary that enables viewing many streaming video services. This is worked around by using the Linux compatibility feature in FreeBSD.
