Taddah!

Still digging around for a 'Designed for Windows XP' sticker to put under the X2 sticker, but, otherwise, basically done.

Overclocking testing will commence now!

System in sig:

If look's like a tight fit for your x800xl, do you think a 7800 GTX will fit okay. I haven't seen a completed qpack featuring that card.

The only thing that's a "tight fit" is the ATI Silencer...which did take a touch of case modding to get in there (because it hangs SO FAR off the top of the card, and with the very large screws sticking out the back).

And the 7800GTXs won't be as 'tall' as this is, nor as 'wide'.

Length-wise, it's bigger, of course. But that's no problem. I'd say there is another 4" *at least* from the end of the card's PCB to the inside front of the case.

I can't imagine a 7800 having any kind of trouble at all in this case.

Very very nice! Props to you. I really like it. One question..what dvd burner are you using? It fits very nicely w/ a full size atx power supply.

Lite-On.

AFAIK, all Lite-On, Sony, and one other brand have "short" burners that fit in here just fine.

And, yeah, it's a full-sized ATX power supply.

i think the other brand was pioneer. dont quote me on this tho, im not sure.

Mine has the 7800GTX in it fits just fine as long as you have it perfectly straight it has very little clearance room.

dderidex:

Did you get your Qpack at Newegg? If so, what was the wieght of your package? I have my Qpack coming tomorrow, and FedEx has it listed as a 40lb package.

Did get it at Newegg, sure as hell didn't weigh 40 lbs!

I think Newegg generalizes the weight when shipping things instead of actually weighing anything (IE., 'Aspire X-QPACK mATX case' ...."Oooh, says 'case' on it, call it 40lbs")

That is what I thought. Which means they make money on shipping on some things and break even on others.

Plextor. ...and maybe Pioneer also. ;) Someone said LG 'works' but I know they are longer drives.

On most of the drives, Newegg lists the form factor ( i.e....5" or 7" ).

I would link a comparision, but Newegg is having server troubles right now...and I am hungry...so I am off to cook something up. :D

That's one nice setup you have there dderidex!

Looks like we have similar setups! Almost makes me wish I had bought a windowed Qpack!

After sorting out my lockups with the Audigy2 I am very pleased with the performance I am getting from this MSI RS480M2. I'm not getting any slowdowns at all and everything feels very "snappy". I was kind of worried that the ATI chipsets would just not perform after previous issues I have run into with two previous SFF builds. My Foxconn MB was crap also which led me to try the MSI.

Sounds like the Jetway board is a winner also, I'm still hoping for an SLI MATX solution soon or may check out any new MB's with the Nvidia C51? chipset.

Curious - what did it take to resolve *your* Audigy 2 lockups?

My running theory is the "ULI HPET" setting in the BIOS was needed - seems like it fixed it, but I'm curious how you solved them.

I had to use my X-Fi instead of the Audigy 2 to work around the issue.

I just re-loaded the OS clean two days ago and when I went to install the ATI drivers the pc would consitantly freeze up. I removed the X-fi and I was able to install the ATI drivers! Then re-installed the X-fi and installed teh Creative drivers and it all works fine agian.....strange
