PSU

I am looking to get a new PSU to go in my Acrylic case. And I was wondering if these PSU's are any good/reliable. Any info would be great.

I've got a 500w in one of my secondary machines, and I haven't had any trouble with it. The 12+ rails seem to be lacking in amps compaired to my antec and enermaxes, but it works alright with my 9700pro,2400xp,120gb, w/5-fans.

Im using that Aspire Turbo on my fathers rig which is a intel 865G, with a 3.0 Chip, 1 gig of kingston hyper X, and a 9800 Pro. Works just fine, no stability problems, for the price its pretty good, but then again, that board never really gets stressed much cause there are no overclocking options, so the power supply doesnt have that much demand on it for voltage. But in general, it works fine.

Also check newegg.com, the price is lower I believe.

Only get it if you have to have "teh bling"

I've seen the steel versions in person, and they are far from impressive. Amperage ratings suck, it weighs about 1 ounce, short power cords, thin gauge wire for the power cords, etc....

I've noticed the same, they don't seem constructed with quality parts. And at $70 its a ripoff. If you really need the bling factor then check this page out for a few ideas. Keep in mind that the TTGI superflower psu's are manufactured by enermax and priced to sell.

Here's the page with lower watt units: http://www.directron.com/400w.html
