Asksa 3.5" Fan Controller

I just got one of these mainly because of the two usb ports on the front. I cant figure out how to plug the wires in to make it work. I have a wire with one end that goes into the back of the usb plugs, it has 8 holes, thuis plugs into 8 pins. Now at the other end the wires are split individually, 2 black, 2 white, 2 red and 2 green. Each have a little black thing on the end to plug into pins on the mobo (I presume). Each of the 8 black things has something written on them, gnd(1), d+(1), d-(1), vcc(1), gnd2, d+(2), d-(2), vcc(2).

Can anyone tell me where these 8 connections are supposed to go? The manual is a shit

Maybe if you posted a link to the product we could help you figure out what goes where.

find a manual for your motherboard...it should be able to show you where the usb headers are on the mobo...plus the way the actual arrangement of the pins is layed out on the headers should be almost universal (but I don't remember the order right now)

Thanks ive got it working now Funny the way they dont just put one block with 8 connections at both ends, instead of 8 fiddley little wires.

It's not a universal connector, so unfortunately, you don't see it that often, except maybe the extra backplane USB ports that come with a specific motherboard. It would be nice if it was standard, so it would just be one plug, like the ATX Power plug.
