asking for login password

I haven't changed any settings on my pc but for some reason windows is asking me to put in my password in the login screen evertime I switch users. It doesn't ask me to put in a password when i first login from boot up but if i switch users it will ask for a password. How do I disable this on windows XP?

It sounds like you might possibly have XP set to autologin with a password on the primary account. You can check this under the Management console, or under the Control Panel with the Users applet.

I dont see anything under the user account applet that has to do with turning off pw. I have 3 accounts and sometimes when I switch users it askes me to enter the pw when I click on the name I want to log in as.

Ok I decided to set a pw so I don't have to restart to log back in. But now it changes the pw on me so I still have to restart to log back in with my pw. How is this happening?
