Since ASIO allows an application direct access to the soundcard hardware (if it's supported), but is the audio affected by the titanium xfi's modes (entertainment, game, etc..) and the other features (cmss3d, etc..)?
nobody knows? according to creative's literature regarding the different X-FI modes (gaming, entertainment and audio creation) claim that the different modes change the behavior and/or performance of the card. i'm just wondering whether this change is in s/w only and affects anything that goes through directx and/or the windows mixer. if that is the case, than the asio audio stream should be unaffected by any of those settings. right?
