I've got my AIW 9600 Pro running with Powerstrip at a clean and happy (and rock stable I might add) 425 engine & 350 (700) Memory, and am curious about getting a last little bit out of the cooling from my Zalman ZM80C-HP... Im using AS-3, and am wondering, is there any actual difference between it and AS-5?

I use AS-5 and the only thing I noticed is I dont have to re-apply it as often to keep the cooling effect. Not as much maintenance.

re-apply? heh.. ok, ya got me there. I never considered re-applying the AS-3, as it doesn't go anywhere, isnt exactly exposed to air and contaminents, and the heat from the system keeps it from getting hard... why would you need to re-apply if you did a good job, cleaned & prepped the contact surfaces well, and both surfaces were well lapped or even?

Yes it´s only waterbased thermal paste you need to reapply...

AS claims that it is a forever material.... once its on.... it should stay perfect.

AS5 isnt a huge jump in performance that AS3... and its A LOT thicker

Some people to routienly cleaning that include reapplying everything... shouldnt be a problem
